so this is it.
my last day of my Junior year.
its 2:30 in the morning, thundering and I can't seem to sleep a wink.
i feel like i'm standing on the very eclipse of my life.
this next year is really the beginning of my life.
when successful people are judged and their childhoods are dissected
they focus on their senior year of high school and college life onto the present.
yes, i am on the brink of my life, the starting block waiting for the starting whistle.
so i can dive into life.
i just hope my goggles dont fill with water.

today was the last day.
it was hard sitting at lunch with all my senior friends and knowing it was the last time
i've sat with them all for 2 yrs now, we all had the same lunch because we all had acappella together.
they've always been at clinton high with me, so to see them gone now......its incredulous.
you'd think with all the change and loss i've had in my life i'd just learn to get used to it.
i never do.

well it's been pretty much ages but i'm back.  since i took the ap chem exam last week i've finally gotten my life back.
good riddance says the aspiring political science major.
summers here. well in, about 9 days for me.
ive got mixed emotions though.
tomorrows the last day for the seniors
aka most of my friends
its going to be a culture shock for me
as the presiding oldest of the school...i'm in charge now
this whole year, as a junior, i've mentally been kicking and screaming not really wanting to be in charge
for 3 years now ive let all the older kids handle the problems...and it was nice
now its my turn.
but in all honesty now that its time to pick up my staff and lead...
i think i'm ready.

so wow...what a fall!
i've been so busy...here's a brief overview:
i've been working my ass off for obama... and it obviously paid off!
:D
then my fall play...a success
currently piecing together the next issue of my school newspaper for a thursday print date
and last weekend....was just about the most amazing weekend of my life.
My high school drama troupe attended the
Iowa State Thespian Festival.
I performed my I.E. as well as auditioned for next years All-Chapter show
"The Laramie Project,"
I was shaking the whole weekend, wondering if I'd been good enough or not....
during intermission of the final mainstage show they posted the cast list...
I made it!!!
Pretty much the best experience of my life!
I can't wait for next year! This has been seriously a dream come true!!

 what a weekend.
the homecoming dance was fun....i've felt like a zombie all day...but still
friday's football game was kick ass...literally,
we played assumption
we beat them...which we haven't done in 20 years...making the victory all the sweeter!
and no school tomorrow.
